About Us
Shop of Seagate was started by local girlfriends whose passion was centered around refurbishing pieces and revamping old items. Over the years, the partnership has passed through the group of friends, but all have remained involved in one way or another, dedicated to providing the best possible interior design services in Wilmington. At Shop of Seagate, every loyal customer belongs to the family—because it’s their loyalty that has kept the store afloat, and the entire team is forever grateful.
Shop of Seagate is owned by Carol, who’s always had a lifelong passion for antique items and collectible and has a strong corporate management background. She’s an expert in appraising pieces and is highly skilled in ascertaining the value of antique items. She works alongside her daughter and partner Christian, who’s a fully licensed and professional interior designer, certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. With 17 years of experience in designing residential and commercial projects with some of the most premier builders in the country, Christian has also worked extensively in Wilmington and the surrounding areas. Her work has been in print media and cable television.
Jayne has a “God-given talent” for interior decorating, and has always enjoyed taking an uninspired living space and transforming it into something beautiful. Over 35 years ago, she started her own decorating business, and was one of the original Shop of Seagate owners. Even today, she still keeps her products on display and can be found on location once a week to help you update and freshen up your home, all while keeping it within your budget.
